Hi. I’m Susan. I am a Registered Dietitian who is passionate about nutrition education. I enjoy meeting new people and learning about their lives. With that knowledge, I can develop quality nutrition programs to help others meet their health and nutrition goals. I understand that diet is only part of the equation and taking care of our body includes diet, exercise, mood, and more, to achieve healthy outcomes.
I earned a BS degree in Dietetics from the University of Maryland College Park and completed my dietetic internship at Virginia Tech. Since becoming a Registered Dietitian, I have worked in acute-care hospitals and long-term care settings educating individuals, families, and small groups on chronic disease diet management. I am dedicated to translating evidenced- based nutrition science into clear, practical, useful knowledge for day-to-day living.
My philosophy for nutrition wellness is focusing on the individual, mindful eating, and balance. Empowering clients to understand the role food plays in their lives and develop a unique plan of care is key. I believe in meeting clients where they are in their nutrition journey and move forward. Learning how to make better choices will lead to better results.
Special areas of interest include Renal nutrition, diabetes, Healthy Heart, digestive health, and weight management. From science to simplicity, I will support you with your nutrition and wellness needs.
